Key Responsibilities:

• Network Infrastructure Migration Planning:
• Evaluate the existing network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, to determine migration requirements and dependencies.
• Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans for the network infrastructure, considering factors such as redundancy, failover, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to define migration goals, objectives, and success criteria related to network components.
• Technical Implementation and Execution:
• Implement the migration of network infrastructure following the established migration plan and schedule.
• Configure and troubleshoot network devices to ensure seamless migration and minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
• Coordinate with other technical teams to integrate network changes with system and application migrations.
• Security and Performance Optimization:
• Ensure that security best practices are implemented during the migration to safeguard the network and data assets.
• Optimize network performance and bandwidth utilization to meet the demands of the migrated systems and applications.
• Risk Management and Contingency Planning:
• Identify potential risks and challenges associated with the network migration and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for the network infrastructure to ensure data integrity and business continuity.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of the network migration process, including network configurations, changes, and performance metrics.
• Provide regular status updates and reports to project stakeholders, keeping them informed about the progress and any deviations from the migration plan.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with project teams and various stakeholders to ensure alignment of network migration activities with overall project goals.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, explaining network migration concepts and changes in a clear and concise manner.
• Post-Migration Support:
• Provide post-migration support to address any network-related issues that may arise after the migration is completed.
• Conduct post-migration network testing to verify performance and security measures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Network Engineer with a focus on IT infrastructure migration projects (typically 3+ years).
• In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, VPN, SD-WAN).
• Hands-on experience with network equipment from various vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper, or Arista.
• Familiarity with network security principles and best practices (firewalls, IDS/IPS, access control).
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nagios, SNMP).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills for managing multiple migration projects.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Salary: AED13,000.00 – AED15,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate: Dubai: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• IT Network Engineer: 4 years (Preferred)
• IT infrastructure migration projects: 6 years (Preferred)
• In-depth knowledge of networking concept: 5 years (Preferred)
• Familiarity with network security principles: 5 years (Preferred)
