About the role
We have an exciting opportunity available for a dedicated specialist to join our IT Aquaventure Waterpark team. In this role, you will oversee the smooth operation of Aquaventure’s software systems, ensuring regular backups are completed and thoroughly tested. You will also be responsible for supervising the IT support team’s activities and ensuring all standards are consistently maintained and updated.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Communicate status, risks and opportunities to IT Operation leaders.
- Responsible for the Capacity planning of IT.
- Ensure that Aquaventure waterpark data is secured and in line with stated standards and best practices.
- Ensure that all desktops/laptops are protected by latest corporate Antivirus.
- Ensure Access Control is in line with stated standards and best practices.
- Ensure regular self-evaluations of IT practices are completed and communicated.
- Source, evaluate and implement local solutions where appropriate.
- Manage local implementation projects & testing of applications and hardware upgrades.
- Ensure up-to-date hard-copies of department SOPs are maintained.
- Communicate new or amended procedures to relevant departments/ colleagues in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood.
- Provide consultancy to better expedite access and the better use of information.
About you
We are seeking candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role, along with a strong understanding of IT applications and internal process optimization, including network switching and routing. Experience in a fast-paced, complex environment within the entertainment or hospitality industry is highly desirable. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills and demonstrate a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
