Job Description
BridgeWay is currently seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Desktop Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the management and enhancement of our organization’s IT infrastructure, focusing on the deployment, maintenance, and support of various IT equipment and systems.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Conducting research and analysis to identify the company’s IT equipment needs.
- Manage the setup, repair, and deployment of laptops, desktops, printers, scanners, and fax machines.
- Reimaging desktops and laptops on a regular basis.
- Hardware support, including desktops, thin clients, laptops, iPads, iPhones, Android devices, printers, multi-function copiers, multimedia equipment, and wireless devices.
- Handles IT equipment orders for shipment to end users.
- Helps maintain an organized inventory of all IT assets.
- Assists in the final testing of new products.
- Providing technical support to employees for all IT equipment.
- Consulting with IT managers and other departments as required.
Job Requirements:
Must have experience performing desktop and laptop reimages.
- At least three years’ experience in a technical support field, troubleshooting hardware/software problems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office products.
- Solid analytical and problem solving skills.
- Great customer service skills and a willingness to learn.
- Highly developed communication skills.
- The ability to explain technical procedures in layperson’s terms.
- Interpersonal skills requiring a maximum in courtesy, etiquette and tact, in order to deal effectively with all levels of management, staff, and outside vendors.
- Ability to work independently — candidate must be a “self-starter”.
- Reliable transportation.
- Technical Certifications a plus.
