Customer Service Associate
Job Description
The Customer Service Associate plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to customers, maintaining store standards, managing inventory, and assisting with sales. This role involves handling customer inquiries and complaints, ensuring the store is well-stocked and visually appealing, and operating the cash register in accordance with company policies.
What you will do
Customer Service & Complaint Handling
- Engage with customers to provide a high level of service and assist with their needs.
- Address basic customer complaints and escalate issues as needed.
Visual Merchandising & Store Maintenance
- Ensure that the store is well-organized and adheres to company visual merchandising standards.
- Regularly clean and maintain the sales floor to create an inviting shopping environment.
Stock Management & Inventory
- Actively participate in receiving new shipments and restocking the store.
- Help manage inventory and ensure the store is fully stocked.
Sales Support (Upselling & Cross-selling)
- Recommend products to customers based on their needs, focusing on upselling and cross-selling.
- Stay updated on product information to make informed recommendations.
Cash Register Operation
- Operate the cash register, process transactions, and follow company policies for handling payments.
- Ensure accurate cash handling and maintain a clean and organized checkout area
Required Skills to be successful
- Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, with a focus on providing excellent service.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers effectively.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high store standards, both in terms of product organization and cleanliness.
- Sales Skills: Ability to recommend products and actively engage in upselling and cross-selling.
- Cash Handling: Experience in operating cash registers and following cash handling procedures.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team to achieve store goals.

Minimum Qualification and Knowledge
Education: High School or Diploma equivalent
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of three years in experience in a similar role preferably from a Retail industry.
Behavioral Competencies
- Proven experience in customer service and problem-solving.
- Maintain high standards in visual merchandising and operations.
- Experience in managing cash floats and financial procedures.
- Familiarity with services like Bra Fit or Suit Fit.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
