IT Engineer L1, L2 Dubai

The Role
The successful candidate will have to provide front line IT support to employees and with company IT support partners to ensure appropriate resolution to IT issues. To document business processes and system instructions for use by company employee

Responsibilities:

  • Providing first level technical support to users for all PC hardware, software and associated peripherals
  • Ensuring that help tickets are logged in line with company support processes
  • Redirecting or escalating support requests to the appropriate member of the IT Support Centre
  • Pro-actively providing information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls
  • Arranging PC’s and associated hardware, peripherals and software to users under direction of the Business Systems and Process Manager
  • Installing and configuring operating systems and software packages to agreed standards under the direction of the Business Systems and Process Manager
  • Assisting in the compilation and maintenance of an accurate inventory of hardware and software
  • Assisting in the compilation of the companies technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are disseminated to users
  • Liaising with colleagues to ensure continuity of service for all users
  • Providing at all times a professional, courteous and rapid response to individual users
  • Supporting the Business Systems and Process Manager in the delivery of IT related projects and the monitoring of data quality
  • Maintaining personal and professional development to meet the changing demands of the job, participate in appropriate training activities and encourage company staff in their use of IT systems

Requirements

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Windows &, Office 2010)
  • Ability to provide first level issue resolution and problem identification for the following:
  • Basic Windows functionality
  • Basic Office functionality
  • Networking
  • PC hardware and peripherals
  • LAN/WAN Connectivity
  • Avaya Telephones (Beneficial)
  • Manage Engine (Beneficial)
  • Knowledge of the use and basic administration of the following systems
  • Microsoft SharePoint 2010 (would be beneficial)
  • Microsoft Dynamics 2010 (would be beneficial)
  • Experience of working in IT projects dealing with technical, system instruction and process documentation
  • Ability to use own initiative, manage time and priorities
  • Ability to tactfully interact with a diverse group of individuals at all levels
  • Ability to work under pressure, short deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments
  • Professional appearance
  • Trustworthy and discrete
  • ITIL or MCSE Preferred•
  • Should be based in Dubai
  • Should be on a work Visa (all relavant certificates attested)
